well my question is; i had just got something powder coated gloss black, (my brake calipers) and they do look shiny, but is it possible to get a clear coat f powder coat on top of the black, or is they already a clear coat over the powder coat? i think i was told by the powder coating guy that they do not have to get claer coated, thats why powder coating is better then painting. can someone please tell me the benefits of powder coating, and should i have told the guy, i want them clear coat powder coated, in adition to the gloss black color? please answer, i am very unsure.

I've never heard of this. Like the powder coated said, that's the reason for powdercoat. Paint just has to adhere onto the surface, so it is easily chipped off. But powdercoat is actually baked onto the surface in an oven.
