In regards to your Injen. Did you notice any significant gains with the Injen added on? Any dynos with and without?
The shop where I get my work done Japtrix.com says that the Injen Cold Air Intake actually robs the car of horsepower because the ecu recognizes the new mixture as "rich" and will
cut the fuel mix - or something like that.
They have run the tests on a 350z and a G35 that prove it. Also they are Injen dealers and were doing an install for an RX-7 while I was there - So they aren't Anti-Injen.
Just curious.

Re: Mainstream's Project SEMA G35 coupe Updates
For me personally I could careless for any CAI. The Injen will be replaced when we begin our heavy performance modifications hopefully in September. The Injen, for now, is used in our project car as a temporary appearance enhancement for Import Showoff in August.
As for losing HP with the intake, it wouldn't surprise me. However, the ecu recognizing the new mixture as "rich" would surprise me. I would expect it to read "lean" if anything at all.

the ecu does retard it self to stock when it senses differences in air flow and fuel and wat not. technosquare is making a cd to upload onto current ecu to adjust that and some other features. its only a matter of time before we get rid of the stupid ecu retardation.
