Question about window.....kinda dumb
This is a very very stupid question, but here it goes anyways.
On the coupes as you all know the window goes down slightly when you open it. I know that this is done to form a better seal. BUT what happens if your battery dies? is there enough room for the window to clear in order to open the door?

Re: Question about window.....kinda dumb
LOL, You're safe bro. The door will open, just like it does when you normally open the door with battery power. From what I've seen on my Coupe, the window hardly has time to lower b4 the glass clears the window frame, so I would say the slight lowering is to facilitate closing the door rather than opening it. Due to the curve of the pane, it would catch on the frame on closing the door and possibly break the glass or damage the frame. Thus the 1/4" drop.

Yes - the last poster is correct. You can get OPEN the door if the battery dies, but you do not want to CLOSE the door unless the window has been lowered.

you can even try it out for yourself... I did and it worked... open passenger door as a just in case... and pop the hood and disconnect the battery.. then try to open the door..
