I like my G, just the way it is. The only thing I'm considering doing is S/C and lowering it. But I'm afraid that if I do that it will mess up the way the car rides and feels. Which is what made me fall in love with the G. Anyone else share my feelings??

Changes (upgrades) should only make your G better....If you do your homework and do things right....You will be please w/ the results.

Go hook up with turbomaxima for a day. He has a Vortech S/C's G35 with 20's and it's lowered. He lives in Jacksonville and I'm sure he'd give you a ride.

I like mine the way it is. I too would most likely only S/C it and lower it with 20s. Nothing major. But I am an art educator, so I can appreciate the way infiniti desigers created the car. so in the end, it will stay stock in appearence, but hopefully run like a rabid dog!

I'm sorry...am I missing something? Since when is a S/C and lowering it with 20's nothing major. Originally Posted by g-adabout

In my book, clear corners, 350GT badge, and maybe even an intake are nothing major. S/C and lowering are pretty intense things. But maybe I'm missing something.

Keep in mind the coupe already rides pretty low, I already have a problem with some speed-bumps and steep parking garages. While it may look better you open yourself to a lot more accidental damage if you lower it.

i agree... i was about to buy a g sedan when i went to the car show in atlanta and fell in love with the looks of the concept coupe... that's when i knew that i was gonna buy the coupe... i just liked the way the car looked as is... all i did was tinted the windows and put on new wheels just to give it the agressive look of the concept (concepts always have bigger wheels)... other than that, i'm stock and will probably keep it that way...

Right on. Even with as good as a 1" drop would look, I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to do it. I lowered my '97 Mitsu. GSX about 1.25 inches and that car was already low like the G... ...it just had the same big fender-wheel gap.
What a PITA. Clearance was always an issue in the expected situations, but even getting the oil changed became an issue until I found a shop with a low-profile lift. It's nice no longer grabbing the seat leather with my sphincter everytime I have to pass over road debris on the highway, speed bumps, etc.

I like the stock look, but just need more power. I was thinksing of a S/C and maybe some 19's with a good lip.

I agree. I've lowered 2 of my previous cars. The roads arounf here suck and I hated the fact that I could only take certin roads around town and sometimes going in big circles to get somewhere. Swerving around ant hill sized bumps doesn't float my boat. Yup, S/C sleeper is the way I'm going.
