Why do you modify your car?

...Because you can never go too fast, have a car that handles too well, it's too much fun to run high in the revs, and because its my money, my car, and my time so I do whatever I want to with it.
my mods have made my car more pleasant to drive and more fun on the road. i suspect that is why everyone does it, yourself included. some may use their modifications competitively, others just for the occassional weekend backroad run.. either way, everyone's in it for the fun of it unless you're making a living off of it. and even then, i couldn't knock someone for wanting to make their car more fun.

Its not my money someone is wasting be it for making them feel better or hobby. I do what i do for my own reason, and want to know why others do it. There are certain things i may not get but that is the reason why i ask... why do you do it./

Hmmm . . . Looks more like a STATEMENT to me rather than a question. However, I could be wrong.
In any event, I trust you are having a great time at the track. It sounds like alot of fun . . . Be safe out there.

That you pick up some hp, experience and possibly a better ride, is a bonus.
Whether driven at a track, or just driven on the street, is irrelevent.
I love mechanics.

I mod because i get enjoyment working on cars..
Why? Why even come to a site like this and ask why. I would say 99% of members on this site mod their car in some way. The reason I do it is because I have a love for cars and working on them. 95% of the work on my car was done by me! That just feels good to me! The fact that I can roll my car out of the garage and see what IVE done to it makes ME happy. To drive down the road and know Im not going to see another car that looks like mine feels good. I dont want cookie cutter things. I dont want to follow. But then again some people are happy with four white walls in their house, that **** isnt for me. To each their own.
I modify cars because
1) All my problems of the day float away when I turn wrenches
2) It's an art
3) I probably drive my cars harder on the street that most do on tracks, so I see the benefits every day.

I track my car approximately once a month and I am a attention *****. JK. I just love cars and have been into this stuff since I was a kid. I remember going to my first Import Showoff in 1994 and my first battle of the Imports that year
