Goodd bye GG

I've decided to let my 2003 G35 coupe go. It is briliant silver with black leather . It had every options available for the 03 model, manual transmission, nav, etc and has 32k miles on it. I took my car to car max and had an appraisal of 25k even. I thought about it and will let it go. It's been a great car, babied,,,,But the M3 is catching my eyes right now. This forum has in very informative and helpful with my G. Good luck with you all

Congrats from a fellow future M3 owner.... ummmaybe LOL, I wish, but the M has been catching my eye for a while now. All I can tell you is that you're going to miss a lot of things about the G if you get an M3, from the short throws to the exhaust note to the dual zone A/C. But in the end it seems like trading up to an M3 is a natural transition for a lot of us G35 owners. Are you buying new or used and what year/tranny?

Watch out on the 03's some have a LOT of problems. I don't know the specific ones, I think it is pre 03.5

Finiti35 should be able to tell you.

Where do you live? Out here in Southern California there's no way a fully loaded G COUPE would only be worth $25,000. I've looked everywhere for a used one but the cheapest I could find near me, (LA) was above 28K.

That's correct, if I were to buy one I'd only get an 03.5 and up (comes with LED tail lights and longer trunk handle) because they're not affected by the rod bearing recall... but you should still be good with an 03, just get the VIN and have BMW pull the service history, and see if the car is among the ones that needed the recall and whether it's been performed. Unless you're buying a CPO one from a BMW dealer, it's a good idea to take it to the dealer for inspection, that will set you back a couple hundred. Where do you people find such cheap M3's, in Florida the coupes are so scarce and everyone's charging $45,000 for the high mileage 03's

I lived in North CArolina,,, 25k is actually the wholesale value of the car, which CArmax is offering me for. I am pretty sure I am run an advertisement in the local paper and sell it for 26+K,,,
