Question steering wheel slightly off center while goins straight

I have noticed this on my new 05 as well as my old 03 (although only later on) when going straight on flat surface I have to hold the steering wheel slightly turned to the right ... like maybe ~3-4 egrees or so. I had them check the alignment when I took it in for my 1200 mile oil change but they said it was perfect. Still same thing with the wheel. Its a bit annoying to me. Did anybody else notice this ??

are you sure the road is flat? roads are usually sloped ever so slightly so rain water will channel to the sides..

That slight crown, or even ruts in road, can cause that. Likewise, strong or constant wind can have the same effect.

Especially since they've said all is well, I'd try to rule out these other variables as well.

Didn't notice what u notice, but when my coupe is parked straight (with the tires straight) the steering wheel is not completely centered, but is angled somewhat to the left. I think this is normal, but dunno if that helps

You can get it readjusted at an alignment shop. Easy to do.

It might be trameling (sp). Upgrade your suspension and it gets even worse.

Make sure the road is flat to get a good idea of your misadjustment, and that the alingnment is spot on, and have the alignment people adjust the steering wheel centre to square it up.

your car's steering should be cocked to the left if following the crown on US roads.
