Re: Never let dad drive a G35
Well i never called my dad an [censored] or thought of him as one cuz of it, i was jus pissed that he did it on the first time taking my car out. but i got over it that day.. it was more that i didnt do it to my car first instead him. Jus scares me when i put my 20s on and my aero kit, that he will b smashin a few more curbs.. i hope not.. but its dad, wat can i do.. i ttook the spare key off the key rack for now, i will wait untill tha car is broken in. or around 2K miles to put it bac their.. If my car was a Automatic, i wouldnt mind as much but since its a 6MT and he doesnt get to drive a MT unless he drives my old prelude or my brothers supercharged BMW(which i think he doesnt let dad drive anymore) which makes me nervous giving him my car. well ill still be a good son and let paps drive it to play golf. one positive thing about this is that i get to buy myself the aero kit without mother complaining to me about spending extra money for it. thanx all for ur replies and help and PMs. really a freindly forum

Shooby, as upset as you were in the beginning, I think you're gonna make it just all right! And, you're a good son. BTW, your statement that you'll probably let dad drive the car again sort of reminds me of how most (maybe all) dads are about their kids with dad's car. I kind of think that even if you weren't the most careful driver, your dad would let you drive just about anything he owned.
And, yes, this is a good forum. On any of the others, you would've been flamed, your dad and mom would've been villified, etc. We're kinder, gentler, more understanding, and part of the "real world" and not quite so self-absorbed. You are, too---anyone who can be so candid as to admit that mom now won't be so upset about your buying the aero front---well, that's just nice to read.
Go fix the car the way you want and continue to enjoy the ride!!
