Burning Clutch?? and bose problem

i think i burned a lil clutch tonight... i tried to launch i guess it moved but i think i smelled burning clutch... how do u know you need a new clutch? how bad is what i did i guess i had the Rpm's at 3000 roughly... i tried to feather it in... little tire squeal but it went... but i smelled somthing so i got out and smelled where the windsheild and hood meet and it smelled... dose the infiniti warrenty cover the clutch... how often dose a cluch need to be repaced.... i dont really have much experince with launching and this is my first sitck car... so i have never had to replace a cluch... anytips for next time or should i just not do that?
Second, im haveing a problem with my bose... when i play a cd it sounds really bad the sound only comes from the right side of the car..... when i listen to the radio i think it comes from both sides, i checked the audio control's and its fine i dont kno whats up? this happen to anyone? any ideas... my car is due for an oil change so im going to take it in soon anyway... all opinions appreciated

Ive read about other people having the same problem with the speakers. I think its something to do with the Blose unit, have your dealer check it out.

a lot of people tear their clutches up in this car, I did when I first got it, b/c the clutch catches so high, were revving and have the clutch sitting a little on the plates and we don't even realize it. When you want to get a quick launch sit the clutch about halfway off the floor, otherwise if you have it on the groud, your going to be revving at a huge rpm when the cltuch finally catches on the flywheel. Practice only pushing your clutch halfway down for launches.

my bose system stopped playing out of the left speakers when playing CDs only, radio works fine. Recentley my cd player all together stopped working, only the radio works now, my cds load and eject fine, but they don't play. The dealership ordered me a new headunit supposedly, haven't heard from them yet

Bose

I also just experienced the left speakers cut off when playing my favorite CD#5. Radio and other CDs work fine. What I did, was I went thru every other CD in the changer and they all worked fine. It solved the problem, but I'm sure it's only temporarily. Good luck.

Headunit thing... it's not just Bose. The service manager at the dealership I went to said that it happens when you put in burned CDs. I suspected that because I didn't have the speaker problem until I put in a burned CD.

i don't need it. THat's just something i figured out quick. So when i shift now, i always throw the clutch down just a little bit. You only reallly have to push it down an inch at the most to shift. its really nice.

I have the exact same problem with my speakers. The funny thing is the sound switches from left to right when I hit a bump on the road. And to make matters worth a clicking sound started on my rear right side of my car. I'm really thinking about trading in my car.
