I agree, their actions with regard to their business practices sounds less than par. Perhaps a small deposit might be taken and the customer should be given a better lead time estimate. Stuff happens, but your experience should not be tolerated by anyone.

i hope you get your parts on time g352NV. i was given a time frame also, but that time frame doubled and still no parts. maybe i just have bad luck with ordering parts on the other side of the continent.

Steve,

I'm not sure why you got a message that said disconnected. We have 4 telephone lines here, and are all billed on the same bill. I used to work at a telecommunications company (the one that our phone system is through) and I can tell you that if there's non-payment on the bill, all the lines would be disconnected. All 4 of our lines have been working fine all day long.

Hello,

Thanks for your post. You seem to be upset, and I apologize for that. Now, you ordered Data System products on 6/7. At the time of your order you were told ETA was 60-90 days. Data System products are special, made-to-order in Japan. Data System Japan does not even stock products. Therefore 60-90 days is a rough estimate. It can take less, it can take longer. That's not up to us! We have zero control over how long it takes for special order products to arrive. You agreed to the terms of the special order when you placed your order, having been fully disclosed said terms. I do not see how our customer service sucks, given your order:

We advised you of these terms, and you agreed to them!

It is no mystery to hundreds of members of this and many other boards, that ETA's on special orders can be given, but are not exact science. This is the problem. We have a very difficult job selling special order products, as does any company like us. When the order is placed, we have to secure full payment, as it is a special order! There is no U.S. based Data Systems, Ings, Impul, etc. Therefore, we have to secure full payment, as the product is made-to-order in Japan.

Our customer service is superior. You can search threads here, and since we have been a sponsor (late last year) there has been only 1 negative thread about us. That thread revolved around GReddy (Trust Japan) stamping their GReddy logo upside down on the new Air Diversion Panel. The thread was history in 1 day, and the consensus was that it was not our fault. We are also a sponsor on my350z.com, for almost 2 months now, and there are plenty of threads that praise our customer service there as well. The only negative threads that are on that board are well over a year old.

if what u say is correct, then don't tell me as a customer 6-8 weeks. also, i'm going on 120 days, what do you have to say about that. how long have u been in business to give incorrect dates of recieving parts. if you've done a lot of orders through japan, then u should know exactly how long it takes. it's ok to be off by a week or two, but mine was off by 2 months. and every time i call i get excuses. the last time i talk to hon was close to 3 weeks and he assured me it would be in today. this was the last straw for me. say what u want but a business like yours should not be telling people 6-8 weeks if you know it's gonna take 4 months.

Ive always had great luck with you guys when Ive ordered in the past. A lot of my parts have come from you because of service and price. When I ordered my INGS spoiler I was told about the 90 day thing. My call today wasnt for that, it was for pullies. It seems to me Darren is on this site to take care of problems before they become to the point of no return. He posts more then any Vendor on this site. Thats pretty good service if you ask me.

not knockin you g352nv, but if they're service is so great why was i not treated well. for someone who waited 4 months, i think i'm pretty patient. i'm mad because an employee assured me an exact date on the 3rd month after i ordered the product and i call back today, and all they can say is it's still not in. i asked for compensation, not looking for a freebee just want some type of assurance, but all they said was either wait it out or cancel the order.
what kind of customer service is that.

like i said before, i'm one person. who cares, they'll always be in business and i'll always be the one person they screwed.

Hello,

The time frame that was given to you was what was relayed to us, from Japan, at the time of your purchase. We have done, and still do a huge volume of special orders from Japan, and that's why we quote large time frame windows like 60-90 days or 6-8 weeks, etc. If you believe that we should know "ecactly how long it takes", then how is is ok, in your estimate to be "off by a week or two"?

There's always going to be threads like this when it comes to special orders. This just happens to be the first thread, on G35Driver, about us, since we have been a vendor here, that applies to a special order running late. I'm sorry that it happened to you.

because stuff happens like you said. but 4 months? i'm i that unlucky to be the only person to have waited 4 months for a part in japan. i've gotten custom made wheels from there and got it in shorter time. i'm sure you just placed my order late but don't want to admit it. but it's ok, damage has been done.
