Anyone able to get in touch with intense motorsports?
you still have'nt answered why my order has taken close to 4 months and if i'm the only person who is unlucky enough to have waited this long. also, was i not patient and understanding all the times i called to ask about my order. even though everytime i call, seems like you always have to double check to see if my order is there.

Many of us on this board have waited much longer than 4 months to recieve parts from Japan. Your issue is that you were quoted 60-90 days (or 6-8 weeks, whichever it was) and it has been almost 120 days. Yes, that's a bit excessive, but not out of the range of chaos, that is inherent in some special orders. If you would have kept you order, and it turned into a 5 or 6 month ordeal, then yes, you would have a point that we slept on placing your order with Japan. That was not the case here. Yes, the damage has been done. You're not happy, I'm not happy. It's Friday night.

Again, with special orders, we can only advise ETA (estimated time of arrival). Therefore, it can take longer than what you were quoted. You were told that it could take longer when you ordered, as everyone is told that with special orders. As far as us not being able to find your order, it has been in our special order file since 6/7, the date you placed your order. Not sure why you keep insisting that we couldn't find your order.
like i said in the beginning, all excuses. you've become good at it. i'll leave it at that, who am i to complain about issues to a big company like yours. you'll do good business no matter what i post, i just wanted to post my opinion about your company, and i ended up hijacking g352nv's thread. sorry about that steve.......
one last thing, you may be right about eta, but if that's the case i would've ordered from bulletproof. they quoted me for 8-12, when you told me 6-8, it made me order through you and that's where i made the big mistake. probably would've gotten my order already had i ordered with bulletproof. but coulda, shoulda, woulda......

The mere fact that I am spending my Friday night replying to this issue should show you that your opinion does count. No matter how "big" our company is, we are very concerned about how our customers, and future customers view us. If we didn't care, we wouldn't respond. Again, my apologies for the delay of your special order. Steve, drinks on me at SEMA
I ordered the Veilside full kits last week with intense ! the customer service is superb..and the kits should be here in no time..However I also had the "waiting experience" with my Greddy sides skirts..the shop told me if Greddy have them in stock, then it'll be here in 2 weeks..but they didn't....so instead I waited 7 weeks for them shipped from Japan..what can you do when such thing happen? JUST WAIT PATIENTLY
i'm sorry to keep responding, but it seems that i have to defend myself for having to wait so long.
i was patient, for 4 months. i just now am mad because first week of sept., after all the it'll be here in a week repsponses, hon assures me it'll be here on the 30th. i told him patiently that i was gonna hold him to it and he says sept 30 definitely.
this is what people don't understand, i was patient till the day hon assured me it would be in, which is today. i never hounded them about the order being late. i understood, but when u assure me and say definitely this day, then i'ts a different story.

I think we have both said what we needed to say. Everyone reading this understands both sides by now, I hope. In the end, however, nobody wins. That is the unfortunate conclusion. Lay, we at Intense wish you the best of luck in your life. To anybody else reading this right now, it's Friday! Step away from your computer!

I dunno, I've ordered many things from Intense before such as an MSports body kit for my old 240sx which I patiently waited for almost 6 months because it was what i wanted and as I would not make sacrifices (even though many times they would inform me of other aero available with in a weeks time). I guess if you want something and you know what you want, its worth waiting for.
In my experience, no matter where you go, if its a special order part, no matter where you go, you're going to wait the same amount of time so you gotta buck up and just wait.

man, Intense Motorsports is very good imo. i've never had problems with them at all. i think people just don't understand the way the japanese (JDM) manufacturers work. made to order is made to order. exactly what the previous posted. plus, the more JDM it is, the longer/harder it is to get. even bulletproof works the same exact way. if the vendor does not have any in stock, they can't speed up the process just for one customer. it's all up the the JDM peoples. Intense and Bulletproof have very attractive prices though.
I had a similar experience with a different company. Instead of telling me the real reason it was delayed, they kept lying and saying it will be ship later. A simple explanation about why it was delayed would've change everything instead of the "it will be here in a week, just wait".
BTW, the issue here is not understanding the way JDM order works, it's just being told a certain date when they could just say that the certain company is still making your parts. It's not hard to do IMO.
I promised myself I would never do business with these type of companies again. So g35lay, thanks for the heads up, I'm never gonna do business with Intense Motorsports.

. You guys are unbelievable. ‘Idiots’ is another word that comes to mind. It's quite obvious you are not familiar, at all, with the way things work when dealing with out-of-country companies. People have this "idea" that these tuner companies they see from Japan are all some "huge" stores or whatever, ... well, they're not. Most of them have only a few people around to make these custom order parts. If you "special order" something, you Should expect it to take a month, up to 10! Seriously! Stop being the naive, arrogant, jackass American that makes such a 'wonderful' name for us everywhere else in the world!
Intense Motorsports is one of the more reputable companies to deal with, ... look at all the different car communities they deal with!!
Look, I KNOW it’s frustrating to wait on parts (I’ve been in the situation SO many times in the past 12 yrs or so!), … but when you (as a company) are told something From the Vendor, you would Like to believe them, and pass that info on to your customer, which is what IM and others do, … I hardly find it fair to blame IM for something they can not control.
If you want to know a couple companies to Stay Away from: Vivid Racing, and Flash Options! Those are examples of companies that CONSISTANTLY rip people off!!

nolimit, yeah, yeah, yeah....enough. am i the first one to order a part from data systems. i'm sure IM has ordered through them before. they should know the ETA. if they would have told me 4 months to begin with, i would have said ok, then 6 months come up then i would have complained. but 2 months turning into 4 months to me is two months too long. please IM, from now on please tell your customers 4 months instead of 6-8 weeks and there will no longer be posts like this.
like i said, you have your opinion and this was mine. if they would've told me 4 months to begin with, there would not have been a problem. but they didn't, why, cuz they know that if they tell their customers, oh it's gonna be 4 months to get in, who in their right mind would wait that long, you'd move on to the next company to order from..... oh nolimit, you would cuz you have all the time in the world to wait for parts to get on your car. please.....if you haven't read, i was patient, up to the 30th, when hon assured me, as in guaranteeing me that the part would be in on that date. don't guarantee me something you can't fulfill. just be straight with me, and that's the problem, they were never straight forward with me.
and that's why they lost my business. not because of the wait time, but cuz of alll the excuses and never giving me a straight answer. also, assuring me the product on a certain date and not coming through was the last straw for me.
