my 2005 g35 coupe is leased. it was broken into last night. they used some kinda tool to pop out the drivers side keyhole and also did damage to the driver door.
let's say i report this to my insurance and get it fixed
when i return the car to the dealership at the end of the lease will they know that the car was damaged? will my dealer tell me that i owe money cause the car was damaged and then fixed??

if it's fixed correctly dealer wouldn't care.
make sure you report it to the cops and to your insurance co. Insurance will
take care of this under comprehensive coverage. hope your car's fixed soon.

I did report it to the cops, and i have a police report. i left a message with my insurance company (they're closed on sundays obviously) so i did report it within 24 hours if that means anything.
my lease aggreement states this in the "Damage, Loss or Potential Loss of This Vehicle" section.
"If this vehicle is damage or destroyed in an accident or other occurence...you will immediately notify us and we may terminate this lease agreement..."
now i'm not worried about them terminating my lease...i'm just afraid that when i turn the car in a few years that they may question me as to why i didnt tell them it was damaged.
is there even anyway they can find out it was damaged? will they contact my insurance co. or something??

Why is the insurance company closed on Sunday?
Do accidents only happen on weekdays?
Just wondering...

If I were you, since it's leased, report to the dealership before you take it in for repairs. Think about it this way...you only trust your car with the best right? Well your dealer only trust their cars with a specific bodyshop who they consider the best. Taking your car to an insurance approved shop may result in Infiniti charging you for damages when you return it.
Dealers will find out any damages to your vehicle. They have to...it's called Carfax. Otherwise if they didn't, you could be giving them back a salvage title if all they know.
Good Luck!

Lots of conjecture =)
If i were you i would be honest with everyone. Insurance and leasing company. you might be surprised how much of a common occurence this is and it just might be taken care of easily with everyone being satisfied.
