TimW and Skyline35 hit the nail on the Gspot. My '03 has on-off rattled from the nav unit area practically since day1. I occasionallly get a different dash rattle and driver door rattle. Very hard to duplicate, especially when it is brought in to the dealer, who swears they cannot hear anything (in the two minutes they drive it). I'd probably not spend $40k for the squeaks, but if you want to drop $25k, I'll sell you mine! Try a Lexus for that money. Besides, the new IS 350 will probably blow the G away, without spending the thousands of dolllars that some of these people like to squander their money on. That said, I still love G-sus!

I got 03.5 25k miles and no rattles. Only thing I hear sometimes is the passenger seat belt buckle which stops after you make sure its fully reset properly. I wouldn't worry about the rattles so much; only a small handful of people are obsessed with it.

I have rattles '05 @ 4800 miles. Listen, rattles can occur in ANY car. There are so many factors that contribute to audible rattles so it is pretty much hit or miss. I wouldn't base a car purchasing decision on rattles.

Lexus has very few rattles. After 10 years they still sound fairly new. I believe I'll head in that direction after the G. I do enjoy the G in other aspects but rattles are chronic for Nissan/Infiniti. That's why it slays me when an infiniti employee says, "No, I've never heard of these cars rattling." To me that just translates to a lack of knowledge for the product they're selling.

My G is still in the shop (overnight) waiting for a console/dash piece to take care of the buzzing/rattling from that region. I'm rolling an fx35 loaner right now. I'm impressed by such a big and heavy vehicle's handling and off the line performance. Top end is horrible on that thing though.

I don't know what you are talking about. My 90 Mustang has less rattles than my 04 G35. Even the newer mustangs have less rattles than this car. I still love the G35 though.

I am with you..I have taken my car into Motorwerks Barington IL dealer about 5-6 times for different sort of noises and he has not been able to fix anything and everytime his ability to correct it just becomes worse..this time its over my head, I wish I could complain to Infiniti about his worst rattle analysis and correction techniques..I mean the techys have the nerve to deny the noise in front of me and say no I hear nothing different..feel like taking the car and running over the guys over there..incommeptent fellows..

Btw most of it I will blame the IL govt for..its the worst road system in world I have ever driven on, even in some developing countries the roads are far superior..chicago is soo bad that I sometimes convince myself its not just infiniti but also chicago roads..
