Just a possibility. Hope you don't have a Speedpass, becuase that's a TSB that the dealer should have caught.

the dealer did ask if i had a mobil speed pass but i don't have any electrical devices kept near the key besides my cell phone.

the key goes in my pockets with nothing more than a cell phone and house keys. on the key ring i keep the infiniti emblem and the alarm remote.. nothing more.

the dealer was out of ideas as am i. only thing i can hope for is that the computer resolves the problem.

edit- what's a TSB?

Technical Service Bulletin. I gues if Infiniti receives enough of the same kind of issue, they create a TSB that has the issue and fix so the dealers can fix it right the first time.

NEVER NEVER NEVER get a CAR WASH from the dealer. I remember taking my car into the dealership for the first 3000 mile oil change and they offer to do a car wash for you. After they finished, the car was teeming with swirl marks. (I had none to begin with!) ARGH!

Similarly, the New York State New Car Lemon Law, General Business Law, Section 198-a, provides that if, after a reasonable number of attempts, a dealer cannot repair a new vehicle within the first 18 months or two years of delivery of that vehicle to the consumer, then the consumer is entitled to a refund of the purchase price or a replacement vehicle. The law presumes that a reasonable number of attempts have been made if the dealer has made four repair attempts for the same problem or the vehicle has been out of service for 30 days or more within the first 18,000 miles or two years. However, this does not mean that you have to have four repair attempts or meet the 30 day requirement to have a claim under the New York State New Car Lemon Law. So long as a "reasonable number" of repair attempts have been made, you may seek relief.
doubt they'd see 2 times as a "reasonable" number of attempts. i will do something about it if it goes back a 3rd time.

you bought the car brand new so you have to break it in anyway. My advice is this...empty parking lot, Traction control off, wheels turned in about 45 degrees, and punch the gassssss. Or go straight at 30 mph, make a hard turn, and start to counter steer. That works for me everytime I get a loaner car.

That should start to make you feel better.

Get the oil changes for life. It will save you a bundle - as mentioned above, dealer washes are more trouble than they're worth.
