Does the needle on the temperature register past the half way point? Does you car sound louder than before?

i only have 115 miles on the car. the temp guage stays put in the middle and the exhaust sounds normal however the fan does go on/off pretty often.

thanks!

was concerned because i've never owned a car that got this hot. then again i've never owned an engine that was larger than a 3.0.

when i first drove my car home, i noticed a smell of plastic burning. is this morning as well? could it be the fumes from the rubber burning off because it's new? the smell is still there but its fading away.

I've noticed the hood gets fairly hot after running the car for a while. I've also noticed that the air conditioning really condenses water up a lot and I find a decent puddle of water under my car every time.

Your engine is still breaking in. It will go away after a while. You shouldnt drive crazy while you still smell burning.

The car does seem hotter than most I've been in. ( could be I drive it "spirited") I had those same smells for the first couple of hundred miles and then they went away.

If you don't have the AC or the fan on you can easily feel the heat inside the car. I noticed it gives off some heat, but my old 4.6L Ford T-Bird definitely got hotter than this car, so I never paid much notice to it. Its normal; just keep an eye on your temp gage if you think it feels too hot.
