How has your G35 been reliability wise?

Are the G35’s an overall reliable car? I am looking for a vehicle that is reliable, has a nice interior, beautiful exterior but is still quick and sporty to drive. I think a 6 speed G fits the bill perfectly. But I have no heard much reliability wise about them? How has yours been?

had a few problems of my own but were all fixed under warranty. rear axle clicking which was addressed by a TSB and fixed by the dealer. replaced faulty driver door lock mechanism, fixed sunroof rattle, replaced CD changer and XM tuner. that's it.

oh, other than these 18" pilots that are too damn noisy when they wear out and costly brembo brakes.

Engine is reliable it's the little things that will drive you nuts. Window not going down, CD's getting stuck, squeeling brakes and of course the RATTLES. If you can live with that then you should be fine.

Check out the TSB sticky up top. That should give you an idea of what dealers know about that is wrong with the car...but you will notice if you start with the 03 model year and move your way up....the TSBs decrease SIGNIFICANTLY...thats a great sign for the 06's!

04 G35 5AT. 12,000 miles.

No problems at all. Only thing I ever had to have addressed was the sunroof squeeking. I have very rarely had the problem where the gas tank wont want to be filled up, but it comes and goes. I have had heard a rear clicking on the right side, but only about twice and it went away, so I dont know if I will even address that. So maybe for my 15k service I will get the gas filling TSB done and that will be my only "problem"

I dont have a single rattle.

i've had a few problems myself. they have been all more or less nuissances than anything major. i find the biggest problem for me is finding a competent dealer that can actually service the car properly without getting a run-around. i find it sad when I AM the one handing the tsb to the dealer!

I have an 04 6MT with about 12,000 miles on it. I haven't had any real problems so far. I do get the gas filling problem from time to time, but I haven't asked the dealer to fix it yet.

i had the problem with the gas tank (the flapper). took the car in 2 times and all they told me was that everything operated normally. about a month ago i got fed-up when it happened again to me at the gas station. found the tsb for the '05 online and faxed it over to the service manager. told him to either fix it or speak with infiniti customer service as to why they weren't fixing it. the service manager kept telling me that it was the first time he's seen a tsb for it. my g@d... what is the point of a tsb if they don't see it. i called bs on the whole thing. but at least they finally fixed it for me. now it doesn't take me 30 min to fill up at the gas station anymore.

2 problems i have with the car. Chips to damn easy and the stupid rattle that comes and goes in the rear of the cabin. I think it is on the passengers side rear speaker. Can't pinpoint it because it comes and goes. Driving me nuts.

2000 km on 05. Rattling from vents and clock driving me insane. Factory forgot to put on the aluminum pedals for the clutch & brake, while aluminum is on the dead pedal and gas. Last time I ever buy an Infiniti/Nissan branded car. Lexus/Toyota vehicles are still unmatched!
