03 BS 6mt Coupe. No sunroof cuz of the added headroom. Had to drive to LA to get the car and I live in the Bay Area.

How much of a difference is it...if any?

You could have always gotten the sun roof and stuck your head out???

Judging from past cars, the sunroof usually takes up a good two inches. No idea on the G coupe.

But I have yet to ever bump the top... ...and I sit pretty upright. Haven't ever had to lower the seat position either (via the mounting bracket). Last car had a sunroof and I was forced to recline further than I like, just to clear the roof. That was enough of that.

we order most of our cars with the premium pkg -- it's a nice car you don't want to be missing the bells and whistles unless you just want a coupe and don't want to pay a lot of money for one.

Here is a clearer picture. I have absolutely no regrets. I just did my first track day after 2 years of ownership, and greatly appreciated the extra headroom even more than normal. I also don't suffer from the "My sunroof is creaking" Lokey Infiniti was more than happy to order one for me...took three months of waiting though!

There is at least an extra 1.5 inches

Yup, that's me. Not a daily driver, couldn't justify the added costs for a "weekender". Had it been the case where all there was is a G35 at 35K+, I would've got a Z instead. Dealers I spoke to are realizing that base coupes do sell and are ordering more of them. I got mine with only the trunk mat, not even splash guards which is rare. Mine is a 5AT.

No sunroof for me either. Bose system didn't seem worth it to me and I didn't want a sunroof since I could only use it like 1 month out of the year here in the south.

AND it wasn't a special order. They had a DG with stone 5at available so I picked it up. No regrets at all.

Actually, I'm glad that I didn't get a sunroof cuz I generally like to sit high in the car and when I test drove the G with a sunroof, I though to myself that the car didn't have much head room. I think head room increases by like 1.5 inches, but that 1.5 makes a difference.
