Front LIcense Plate

Have any of you had issues with the law in states / provinces where you need to have a front plate?

I need one by law but I think it ruins the look of the front end... I always keep the front plate in the car and when I get pulled over I just say "I have a custom plate holder on order from the dealer"

Anyone else have problems with this? How do you get around it? I was thinking of leaving it in the corner of my dash but that looks even worse... Any thoughts? Thanks.

Its rare that you'd get pulled over for that. The cop has to be looking for it, and see you from the front and the rear, and feeling like an ***. I would never ruin the beautiful front end of my G and drill a plate onto it.

I've gotten one ticket in my 12,000 miles and I really dont mind that.

I live Cali and its required by law to have a front plate on. However, I've choosen not to put it on my G nor any of my cars I've had in the past. Havent gotten a ticket for it in the G yet, but over the last 5 years Ive received about 5 no front plate fix it tickets. Who cares about the ticket....just pay to $20 IF you get pulled over. Its worth it to not have that ugly thing hanging off the front bumper.

HaHa..... got a kick out of this thread. I have a 1990 Q45 that I've owned 14 years. No front plate and only one ticket the entire time and that from a "meter maid."
My new Coupe is due 10/29 and I've made it clear to the dealer I'll be "going wthout" regarding a front plate!
PM me if anyone interested in a near cherry '90 Q.She's goin' cheap.

I have holes (plugged) from when I picked up the car. I keep the screws for it and the license plate along with the frame with me in the cabin. If I get pulled over, first thing I do is throw this thing on the front windshield. If the cop asks I just tell him that mount is broken (I show him the frame and screws) and that I have a new one on order at my dealer and in the mean time I drive with the plate in the windshield. If he asks about the plugs I'll just tell him that I didn't want to drive around with open holes in the bumper because I am afraid I'll get road debris...

So far I haven’t been pulled over for front plate (knock on wood), but I think it's a pretty good cover up story, I have under my sleeve...
