Suggestions

Just bought a New 2005 G35 C with 19" Sport Package 1 week before I left to come out here to IRAQ. I been out here for 7 months and going back next week for 2 weeks and can't wait to drive again. I also wanted to do some upgrades but am confused on what to do first. Exhaust, lowering springs, upgrade stereo, etc....
any suggestions????

Upgrade the stereo. My *$#& Bose headunit is starting to cut out on the left front speaker. I just had the original one replaced in January.
After being in Iraq, the last thing you want to deal with is a defective stereo.

Install a full CAI, not a Z tube, you will be happy with it. I had the Z tube and it sounded good but made no real noticable difference, the CAI did make a noiticable difference, sounds great and with it I've been able to get up to 28MPG on highway!

This is the mod I always suggest first.

Also, thank you for your Military Service! The freedoms we all enjoy are all because of you guys!!!

I saw dyno runs posted from searching the forum before I bought mine, try searching, I'm sure there are some results. I have no way to guage HP numbers but by the seat of my pants and the time it takes to get to 7000RPM's there is a real improvement. The car just seems to come to life when it can breath so easily and the sound is just awsome at WOT! Plus after the install I could smoke by buddies 5AT so much easiler, he ordered one and I installed it, his G now runs much better too; that is how I can tell how much difference this made.

I think any full length metal CAI is good, I know people that have all brands and are happy; I even know a couple of guys who bough theirs on eBay cheap and all is well.

Thanks for all the ideas. Still not sure what I will do first. I do want to upgrade the stereo though. Probably get the intake and exhaust when I get back.

I only have two weeks back in the states and then back over here to IRAQ but I will be home for good in Feb.

Hey,

thanks for all you support!!! We are doing good things over here and are wanted/needed here despite what the media says!!

What exhaust are you looking at getting? You could also go with a plenum spacer too. Thats a good mod to start with along with a CAI.
