Debadging Question
Debadging Question
I have an 05 coupe. Ive already taken off the INFINITI and G35 badges on the back. Is the Infiniti logo just attatched the same way the others are? with that sticky stuff? or are there holes in the trunk and its bolted? can i just pop it off the same way i did the other ones?
i have a ques. about debadging for another car. i would like to do it to my daily driver, tahoe lt. I would like to debadge the chevy, tahoe and especially the annoying "LT" emblem that is between the back doors and the cargo area on both sides. Any suggestions? Process?

How do you get the "INFINITI" and "G35" badges off the back?
I used fishing line and ran it behind the letters, making sure I kept away from the paint. Then I let Goo Gone soak into the adhesive, removed what I could and reapplied Goo Gone. Repeat until goo is gone.

You didn't get any scratches or any imperfections in the paint while debadging? I'm thinking about debadging my car too, but I'm undecided whether to get it done professionally and pay for it, or do it myself?

Like GT-Ron said, you can totally do it!
I used dental floss instead of fishing line. For some reason I thought it would gentler.
I also warmed the area slightly with a hair dryer while running the floss under the badges.
Having someone hold the hair dryer makes it go much faster and easier. That and the Goo B Gone stuff, with a lot of
soaking/gentle rubbing/patience repeat.. your done!. You may see a slight 'ghost' of the badges for a few days but they will disappear.
