I like the PROJECTOR in the 06 headlight, but i wouldn't trade my clearance stripe for that.

Looks good. Hey, are you afraid that mop or broom may fall on your G back there in the corner?

G6mt, you said

1) headlight does fit perfectly
2) you can reuse your old xenon
a) if you can reuse old xenon, does the it mount perfectly to headlight?
b) if "a" is yes, then how do you get the bixenon function?
c) is all the wires still plug and play?
3) does the foglight/highbeam still work with in cabin switch?

2a. To use your old bulbs you need to remove the glare shield on the top portion of your bulb with a scalpel. Then you will need to notch a hole in the base of the bulb for it to sit correctly in the projector.

2b. A shield moves when you activate high beams directing light upwards. It does not get any brighter just directs more light upward.

2c. Yes

3. Yes

425.00 ea. without bulbs, like E_K stated you can use your old bulb (HID) D2R but you need to notch it out and remove the brown/black coating.

the bulbs are all different and needed to be order separately or you can buy the whole unit complete with bulbs for about 750.00~800.00 your choice

I chose to buy bulbs minus the HID for 40.00.

However, if you have the time and patience you can retro your own for about 300.00 to 400.00 for the whole job.
up to you.. I just don't have time to work on my own headlights so I chose this option... More expensive, but I'm happy

where did you buy the headlights? I really want to get them. Was it from a dealer or a wholesaler?

OK, so let me get this staight. So all we need to do is order the Projectors (shrouds, projector house and backing, etc.) from Infiniti and just simply remove the backing that holds the D2R and replace it with the new Backing which will hold the New Projectors and the D2S? It's that easy and only costs $400 each? Does this include the Balasts or do we need to use our old Balasts? Although it doesn't come with the bulb so it isn't all that cheap (again, all we need to do is scrap some stuff of the D2R and make it a D2S?). So, no messing around with retro-fits (although this is a kind of retro-fit) with after-market projectors? Who makes these projectors and have you tested them out to see if they are as bright as the Acuras? Thanks for all the tips!

And I would love to see a DIY for this!

no you just order the entire headlight assembly...(probably no D2S bulbs)

I just got off the phone with a dealer. They want 580 a headlight, so that's 1060 a pair??

worth it? not unless I can get a wayy cheaper price.

We need to order an entire Assembly?! Damn, that's costly at $580 each w/o any bulbs. So, does that include the Balasts? I sure hope so. I guess it may be worth it if it comes with the Balasts. Why? Because, if it comes with the balasts, we can use the existing balasts for the H4 portion and turn them into HIDs. All we need to do is buy H4 HID bulbs and we are good to go with Dual HIDs. Yes, it would be nice to get dual Projectors but it is already going to cost something like $1100 for the retro fits just for the dual Xenon. I don't think I want to spend all that extra money to retrofit the bottom one too.

I got a few questions:

1) so w/o ballast bulb or any wiring is $425/ea.? What kind of wiring is there? I thought it is plug and play already. Or w/ ballast and w/o bulb?
2) If there is no ballast, do we need to get aftermarket HID "KIT" to make it HID? i thought our current housing is seperated from the HID ballast as well?

Now I am a bit confused....
