My coupes "dash thump" is driving me crazy. Under hard breaking, acceleration, and "evasive turns" it sounds like a socket is rolling around in my "owners manual glovebox".

I have removed everything from ALL storage compartments (I do NOT have NAV) and I still hear the noise. I then took apart my dash, and secured the wiring for glove box lights and looked for any "factory left tools" :-) and found nothing.

I think it may be the door on the air conditioner box that I believe pulls fresh or cabin air into the A/C unit.

My wife thinks that I am crazy, especially since I had her drive while my dash was partially removed while I watched the parts. Needless to say she was unable to drive hard enough to make the clunking sound.

Do any of you have "sockets" thudding in your dash?
