$3000 would hopefully also include new calipers (which do not require Changing with rotors.. )

She looked at himike and asked "Sir, which one of these vehicles belonged to you?"
Two vehicles rose out of the lake surface besides the woman. One was a brand new 2005 Infiniti G35 model with premium package glittering in the sun; on the other side was a used 2003 G35 with dings, scratches, no premium package, black plastic center console, dead brakes, bald tires and a transplanted engine.

^^^yeah. and i believe that's one of the reasons they took away the brembos for 2005. come brake maintenance, they get a lot of complaints from 6MT owners about the price, who normally dont track and wouldn't mind strong regular brakes. it's not that nissan spent a lot on these oem brembos because nissan could probably get them cheap wholesale from brembo. they still have it on the 350Z because the chances of ppl wanting to track the car is greater on the Z than the G and thus ppl are more aware of the costs of replacements. thats just what i think.

If you pay $3k for new pads and rotors, then you really need to depart with your money. Buy your pads from Performance Nissan and get aftermarket Stoptechs one or two piece rotors and get pretty much any garage to put them on. Hell, even I can do the rears myself and it doesn't involve disconnecting the brake line.

If you turn down that offer you must be from a different world. Man I would have slapped down 5K right then and there to get a new '05. Thats just insane, who cares about those brembo brakes there a money trap anyways. the '05s brakes are just as good they just dont have the attention getting factor the brem's have. Better jump on that real fast.

I just ordered OEM size Brembo slotted rotors and Project MU B-Force pads due to my Brembos finally going out at 42,xxx miles! Compared to others, my Brembos lasted a heck of lot longer. Go me.
Go with the '05. The interior alone is worth the extra money. If the '06 is a grand or two more, go for the '06. Who wouldn't want a newer car (unless you don't like the new features)?
