I only put down 15 grand and got a loan for the other 20. That way I have lots of money left over for mods.

Well if I put my mod money towards car payments... let's just say she would have been paid off right about the time I purchased the S/C.

I put down only $10K and financed about $25K for 5 years. Got at least 4.5 to go. I did choose to keep about $10K aside for mods, and that's been nice.

She's all mine! I just wish FI would add to the resale value.

Paid cash for mine. Now Infiniti is giving me back all my money when I turn my car in next week. Not a bad deal for having the car for 7 months.

remember, banks get 80% of your total interest the first year. so if you are second or third year on your loan payments, I wouldn't bother to pay it all back at one shot, put the money in Ing Direct and get 3.5% interest rate. or invest for some bigger returns.

I put $12k down when I bought it, financed the rest, with the intent of paying it off when the first payment was due. That was 7 months ago, and it feels GREAT to own the car outright.
