Yep, taking two spaces is just asking for trouble. I suspect someone kicked your car on purpose. While trying to protect your car, you come across as an assh$le for taking two spaces.

i always park next to handicapped spots if possible and take up those two spots.... i know it sounds like im an *******, but honestly have you ever seen 60 handicapped people at the GYM? I just park right on the line or a little over and since handcapped spots have so much space next to them on the other side, i figure its okay for them to lose a couple of inches... or i just park super far away and figure that anyone that parks next to me is doing it because they will be careful with my car and can tell that i will do the same with theirs. I routinely find 350z's, other Gs, wrx's and other nice cars parked next to mine when i come out of places

If you parked in two spaces, you were asking to get keyed or get that dent. Just park at the back of the lot if you're that worried about getting dents.

You need to park in a no-dent zone aka: All the way out in BFE.

i almost never park in two spaces because i've heard too many stories like this.. reason is exactly what the others have said, somebody will think you think that you have the $hit car and do something.. not justifying it in anyway, but some people are honestly offended deeply by people parking in two spots, EVEN IF there are tons of spots available.. same thing happens at work all the time.. however, our work spots are tight, but we still squeeze into single spots because it's kind of a respect thing..

one car that i had no problems parking in two spots: a porsche carrera gt.. i had to stop my car and stare at it.. it was actually at mcd's.. all i kept thinking was, "that is same price as a house.. go ahead park in two spots" haha

anyhow, good luck with getting your repairs done.. regardless of our explanations, it really sucks what happened to you and hope you can get everything fixed.. i know you haven't had your G for very long..

No I think you are misguided.

I have parked all my cars (except beaters) at the end of parking lots...always. From my 1990 Pontiac 6000 to the G...it is because I respect my car. If I am in my beater and park in between cars I just don't fling my door open like most *******s do and if it hits the car next to me oh well. I respect other peoples property but the problem is 3/4 of Americans don't. That is unless they are on the receiving end in which they get all hot headed about it.

I park my car at the end of parking lots in double spaces to avoid ****** that just don't care. If you don't care about your property fine...but don't generalize those that do.

by taking two spaces, you will be stand out and get noticed, that's when jealous people do bad things to your car.
