i was wondering if any of you guys get a resonance coming from the engine bay when you lift off throttle at over 5,000rpm. i've been babying the motor, but i noticed this from time to time. i was wondering if it was part of the revup design or a problem like something loose or something. it's just a different sound i'm not used to.
Resonance? acoustic or mechanical?
When I let the throttle off at 3000rpm to shift (slowly) I hear a slight whine or whone that seem to have resonated from the intake. Sounds kinda neat.
my motor did vibrated a bit with throttle off from 4500rpm down when I had less than 3000 miles. Doesn't seem to do this now. Maybe it was the wear-in period? How many miles are on yours?

I get it too when I back off of the gas to shift, I think it is just a trait of the VQ35 engine. It does seem to be less pronounced the more miles I put on the car. 8800 miles now and it isn't near as noticeable as it was when new.
