However, one mod does indeed come to mind . . . Wear the lightest pair of shoes, which you happen to own, prior to getting behind the driver's seat of your G.

This may sound odd, but what I started doing (and it seems to work well) is switched to 76 and fill it up early in the mornings when its still cold outside. Gas is measured/sold by volume so you get a bit more when its cold and for some odd reason 76 gas seems to give me better mileage on the G. As far as mods??????

As far as mods go, the best way to increase fuel efficiency is with a CAI and better catback exhaust system (this applies to most every car as well). However, there is a fundamental problem with these mods too--they make the car like 2x as more fun to drive, so you're probably going to get worse fuel efficiency than you would have had to begin with :P
I know I'm just breaking in my engine, but I have about 800 miles on it and I drive it like I stole it and getting 11.7 mpg...almost as good as the Jeep Eventually, when I begin to drive the car like I've had it for years, it'll even out and I'm hoping for 15-16mpg

lol at all of you thinking the most fuel efficient mod is a CAI and cat-back.
I completely expected something different, but after i installed the TT kit my city mpg went up 29-31 and highway depending on the speed i could get anywhere from 38-50mpg.
If you dont want to mod so heavily for better gas mileage and more fun then yes go with CAI and cat-back, or stay stock.
