I don't seem to be able to locate it. I would like to check out the level because my auto trans fells very very rough when shifting from 1to 2nd to 3rd gear. I was wondering if anyone else have the same problem ? Thanks in advance.

 

u have to go to the dealer some one ask the same question a while back. Its a pain in the @$$ they have a speacal dip stick for it. Though on a side note my auto shift some what harsh also have u considered trying to do a ECU reset? I have not have time to do one on my car but im sure that will help. Keep us posted on how it goes good luck.

 

THE ECU reset is a time-delay fix until nissan/infinti fixes the issues with their G35/350z trannys. I talked to the service rep at my dealer, and he said that they've changed out at least 20 tranny's on G35's already. Thats why i dont own one any more. I terminated my lease when i found out that they were gonna change my tranny too. They kept resetting it stating that its just the ECU, but finally admitted that they would swap it. ***** that, its a new car with 9000 miles.

 

You are talking about 2 compleatly different issues. The tranny problem has nothing to do witht he ECU. There are 2 ECU one for tranny and one for the car. Or that is what i understand correct me if im wrong. The ECU resets will make the car relearn ur shift point and bring timing back to stock. The tranny problems was a disighn flaw i think

 

The Tranny problems have been with 6-speeds.. not auto's.
