Sat Install Done Today!

I just installed the OEM Sirius unit in my 05 GCoupe today. The install was cake, the only hard part was getting the sat ant. wire underneath the weatherstripping down the left side of the rear window.

Sound quality is excellent and is a great compliment to the car. Also like the fact that I can log in and listen on my PC at no additional charge. Don't need to purchase a home unit now

If you are thinking about doing this upgrade, go fot it. It is well worth the $300.

P.S. I also used the Sirius low profile magnetic ant. I am going to post the stock unit for sale in the forums when I get a chance.

Mine came with the XM. Does anyone know if there's a screen we can use on the OEM HU that will display the text, channel, song title, etc from my XM radio?? The display on the HU sux!!! Why can't it scroll similar to the FM channels (with RDS)?? I like it when the title scrolls when I listen to FM radio. Just wish the Sat does that too.

The 06 Nav have this feature already.

it would only work if you purchased the separate unit. many companies sell the separate unit but you have to buy the kit for it and then jsut wire into your exsisting system. i think the kits are about $150 most places

google and best buy are your friend

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....&type=category

personally ive had great experince with this model in my moms car

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1091101655967

look at the recievers that say XM ready. then if you think BB prices are too high use google to find other stores who carry that particular product

hope this helps

Picked up the received from everythingg35.com. They had the best price and have dealt with them b4.

Just the receiver and the ant. was needed for the install.
