need help, someone hit me in the parking lot! (Finally finish touch-up)

a small piece came off, what's the best DIY way to fix it without repainting the whole bumper? Please help me out. My car is only 1yr old by the end of this month. So mad, so ****!!!

Is this paint good enough? http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Mer...=G35CoupePaint

dude that sucks, you might wanna talk to a detailer to see if they can buff that out. If its just scuff marks then the detailer should be able to take it off.

hope you can take it off without repainting the bumber.

Every Dealer has specialists that come to their Dealerships regularly to do touch-up work. Find out who your Dealer uses and call the guy. Don't make the appointment through your Dealer because they will add their markup. Based on your picture I'd say they will charge you around $100 for the repair. If your car was much older, I'd consider touching it up myself, but with a new car, let the pros do it. They'll make it look good as new.

BTW the name of the specialist near me is "Colors on Parade."

I highly doubt that meets his deductible.

he got hit, so he doesn't have to go through his insurance. other guy's insurance should pay for all the repairs

Yes, absolutely . . . Assuming the other driver has insurance, I trust.

If an older car with a black trim bumper hit you, then I can tell you that may be black rubber that needs to be rubbed off....give it a try, I've had that happen many times.

I tried the 2 stage oem touch-up. Definately better than before bit still noticeable. I also have a pearl white coupe. Spend the few extra bucks and have a pro do it.

See I told you rubbing it off would help...that small of a scratch, OEM touch up will work charms, you wont notice it...TURST ME. You may, but thats because ONLY YOU know about it. Others wont even notice. Touch it up, then wash and wax your bumper (might as well do whole car). When you buff it, it will rub in with the rest of the color.

A trick that I usually do is after 3 days when the touch up dries, I will use Meguiars scratch X on the touch up...what this does is dull the "new paint" shine or "gloss effect" the touch up left and make it a bit duller to blend in with the rest of the sun exposed bumper. Dont leave the scratch X on there for more than 1 minute. Then wash and wax, and your good to go.
