Exclamation Emergency Post: How To Change Hid Bulbs?!?!?!

***Mods/admins – please do not move this post as I need maximum exposure. This is very urgent. Please keep this post for the rest of the evening. ***

Guys, I need some urgent help!

I need urgent pics and detailed description on how to change the HID bulbs. I did some search and found some pics on Imagestation but I cannot enlarge the pics enough to view the instruction pasted into the image.

I got the car all jacked up on the street as I’m writing this, and need to change the bulbs before it gets dark. I got the old bulbs out, but when I try to put in the new ones, it gets tangled in some sort of metallic brace spring that apparently holds the whole assembly in place.

Help please, quick!

Can someone give me some detailed guidance on how to insert the bulb back into place?

lift the metallic ring up with one hand.. use your other hand to insert the bulb. If you havnt already unlocked the metallic thing, just squeeze the bottom of the sides together that are locked and it pops up.

the bulb should be inserted with the solid long wire thing (thats on the bulb) on the bottom with the glass part of the bulb on the top.

Once you put the bulb in, secure it in place by that metallic ring you are talking abt by squeezing each side of it and lock it in place. Then just put everything back the way you took it out.

Thanks bro, this helps.
Quick question: do I insert the bulb by itself, secure it with the metalic spring and then connect the power plug, or do I attach the bulb to the power plug and then insert both to be secured with the spring?

Thanks

put the bulb in, then secure it, and then connect the power plug and all, makes it much easier.

A lot easier if you had taken the wheels off too. Make sure it's secure as well once you put everything back, my lights wen out after 4 months because bulbs fell loose.

You'll know if the springs is on good. It won't be loose after you secure it to the bulbs. Spring is up when secured, if down... not on the bulb.
