I'd watch your housing for any signs of cracking. Esp if you intend on running the heads and fogs at the same time.

hey guys I just picked up and installed the 6600k d2s PIAA bulbs...I would not recommend getting these bulbs if you are you want maximum light output from the projectors. The lights are definately noticably dimmer than the retro OEM d2r bulbs I used. The upside is the lights look tremendous. I had my friend drive my car down the block and back and the the lights have a mixture of blue and white with a slight hint of purple. From an outsider looking at the car it really looks like you have some nice projectors. The retro d2r OEM bulbs looked yellow with a slight shade of white. I am much more happy with the way the PIAA bulbs look but I am dissapointed with the light out put even though I was expecting a decrease in the output. Oh yeah and I also removed the city lights and it looks 10x better. Pics soon!
I haven't seen the '06 lights on yet so I don't know. So maybe you guys out there can clarify it for me. Does the '06 projectors self level themselves? They should right? I mean all my old BMW projector HID's self leveled itself. If the '06's do self level how do you transfer this onto the older models? Thanks.
i haven't seen the 06s light up at night but all i'm waiting for is too see them... that's the only reason holding me back from buying a pair for my '05.
any 06s G's in S.Cali care to show me in person

What!!!??? The '06 projectors don't self level? How could that be? I thought all HID lights were supposed to self level due to the fact they are so bright and could blind on coming traffic.
I just spoke to a friend of mine and he told me that all European HID projectors self level because all HID projectors are required to self level by law in Europe. I don't know about Japan. I think because of the Autobahn lights in general tend to be better on European cars than any other. My old BMW's had much better lighting, but I think Mercedes Benz's have the best headlights period. I've compared MB's lights to mine and mine look whimmpy next to them. Too bad though, good lighting is so important to safe driving.
