Control Arm Problem

Saturday I drove my G down to the dealership to fix a popping noise coming from the front right wheel. The car made a popping noise every time i braked and another strange noise when i went over bumps. The dealership told me that the noise came from the control arm which had an untightened bolt on it. So i picked it up today and there were no problems. I pull into my driveway and get out of the car....then there it is!!! a niceeeeee little 3 inch curb rash that certainly was not there before i dropped the car off. I am really pissed off..... the car barely has 1000 miles on it and now people are going to think i am a crappy driver who hits curbs and such. I would call the dealership but they woulld just deny it. Also, there is grease all over the driver side door as well as dark black scuffs that i have to get out now. Dont you just love those dealerships!!

Don't remove the grease stains or clean your car and return it like this immediately. It will help to show their lack of workmanship at that dealership. Ask that they replace the Wheel too.

Are you serious? You better demand that they give you a new wheel. If not, jack one from a car in the lot in the middle of the night and replace it w/ your damaged one.

There's the lesson - always inspect your cars before you leave ANYWHERE...

Damn, sorry to hear that. I made it a habbit to look around the car before I pick it up from anywhere. What dealership did you go to? I'm from SI also, but I always go to Circle Infiniti where I got mine from.

Did they replace the control arm or they just tightened it? is the noise gone?
