As a person who is experiencing the feathering I sure do.
here's my experience with tire feathering...

btw feathering is UNEVEN wear on the inner tread blocks NOT caused by camber alone!!

I bought my G with 17,000 miles on it. The Michelins were loud, but roared when I slowed down to stop. I think one thing contributing to the "perception" of tire feathering is the fact that you cannot rotate the tires from front to back. I had my fronts dismounted from the rims and swapped sides. Basically I rotated them so the tire still rotated the same way. Problem solved, the tires quieted way down.
After a few weeks I had the front end aligned and purchased new Yokohama's since the rears were wasted. I plan on rotating these tires about every 5,000 miles as proactive maintenance. I have about 2500 miles on them, and no visible sign of wear yet.
