lol... that sounds like Beverly Glenn area. I sometimes pass through that area or take a break in the starbucks there on weekends. There's this guy (who I think is one of those studio/entertainment types) who drives a Maseratti Quattroporte IV. I've also had a BMW M5 (previous generation) attempt to race me in that area... he and I both knew he would kick my *** so I let him fly by.

As for peeves... that area is very hilly and has narrow roads.... it annoys/amuses me when somebody tailgates me when I'm following somebody else. Some stupid things I would do would be when I see the tailgater behind me, I'll start to drive a little slower than the car I'm following (and eventually leave a large gap) and when I come to a corner I'll speed up and take the corner fast only to slow down in the straights (or when I get too close to the guy in front of me). Most of the cars that tailgate in that area are usually clunkers, SUVs, or Jaguars (why Jag... I don't know.)

OMG, I can't believe someone started this thread. I just railed on addisontc for one of my biggest pet peeves. People who are not aware of their surroundings.
They only look ahead. I guess they believe that is the direction they are heading so 'who cares' what is to the side or behind'. Whew, that felt good again!

I've got one that no one has mentioned yet - People who drive with misaligned headlights. You know, the kind that when they're coming at you on the other side of the road, and you get blinded because their headlights are aimed up and to the left, perfect for blinding oncoming traffic and useless for seeing the road. Along those lines, also there are the people who drive with the high-beams on, even when they see other traffic in the area. It's one thing to have other people doing stupid stuff like reading, talking on the phone, or whatever else that is non-driving related while behind the wheel, but when you can't even see for a few seconds after being blinded, that just makes the situation that much worse.

I've got another one - thx to binar -

What about drivers who are not even aware of what THEY ARE DOING? forget the rest of us - they are not even paying attention to themselves.

You know, driving up curbs, bumping parking stops and killing their bumpers, driving behind cement trucks for 2 miles and then getting mad about the cement splatter on their cars, driving in construction areas and not figuring out why they got a nail or screw in their tire, and further - PULLING INTO A GAS STATION ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE CAR SO THEY HAVE TO TURN AROUND TO FILL THE CAR UP!

well..first would have to be the whole left lane thing. Get the hell out of it! It's for faster traffic...if someone comes up behind you, and they are wanting to travel faster...you need to move over! I love the signs in colorado that say "the left lane is faster traffic"!

The next I would say is what I call road respect. I have a G35 and a F350. It's amazing to me the amount of respect I get the truck....people move over, without having to tailgate, people don't pull out in front of me....it's just a great feeling! The poor little G gets nothing...but at least I can zip around them.

and then this..
-People in huuuuge trucks or SUV's who pull up to the left of you when you're trying to take a right turn on a red light... and they inch up soo far past the stop line that you can't see if any cars are coming the other way... forcing you to wait until the light turns green to turn right.

I do this when I am in the truck sometimes. It's fun to watch the ricers get all bent out of shape. and then I smoke'm with diesel fumes as I blow out of the intersection. heheheh

I think Tony's next Motordyne Engineering mod needs to be front end rocket launchers.

All our "peeves" will go away

Slow drivers in fast lane... Stay on right if you're doing speed limit, god damn it! Also, people who get on the left lane to pass and taking 30 ****ing seconds to pass... I get furious and start blazing my high beams.

Woman talking on cell phone while driving a big SUV behind me... I always try to get away as I don't wanna get rammed into.

My biggest is when your trying to join a multi lane highway, coming out of a plaza or gas station and everyone is in the right lane and no one is in the left, and none of them think to move over to let you hop on, i hate that
my next is other g drivers who think they r better than you but we both have the same exact car, if i wave to you or flash my high beams because we have the same car, smile and do it back

1. People going slow in the fast lane, not moving over, and being totally oblivious to the world.
2. Two people going the same speed in two different lanes so I cant pass.
3. Old people, plain and simple.
4. People going below speed limit.
5. People that turn on the right directional and then turn left.
6. People that make sure to brake and slow down to 15 MPH if they are going down even a small hill.

I could probably go on for days.

Bobbing/weaving in stop and go. Just a matter of seconds and I will pass them by again and laugh.
