*** What Looks Nicer? With or Without Spoiler?****
Hey fellas!
For the longest time I've been thinking if I should get a spoiler for my Coupe? When I was purchasing my car I thought the spoiler on the Coupes looked kinda wack so I bought my coupe without a spoiler and saved some cash, Now I've been getting all kinds of feedback about the spoilers for the G35 coupes from my friends. It seems its right dead in the middle ... 50% of my friends think the G's look nicer without the Spoiler. The other 50% think the spoilers on the G's are the nicest accessorie you can get on the car besides the 18's and 10% of my friends are too wasted to know what spoilers are (10% margin of error).
Well guys what do you think? Do you think your G looks nicer with the spoiler or without. Here's my car without the Spoiler, I think my baby is beautiful without the spoiler but I went to my dealership and I saw a couple G's with spoilers and I thought they looks petty nice! - Daniel

Sup.. I personally like it with the spoiler (im assuming it is the factory one. I can't see your picture cause my work blocked all AOL addresses). But the real question is which one you like.

i have a black also, i also wanted a coupe with spoiler for the black, but then realized it wouldnt look so sleak, so i said
F*ck it, i look the look without it, to me it reall depends on the color, blue and red look good. the res I dontknow about.

spoiler man, you want the spoiler, you know you want it. If you didn't want it we wouldn't be having this conversation. So just go on and get it, you'll be happier. $200 bucks, order it and put it on yourself.You'll be glad you did.

We had a poll on this awhile back, it was 50-50 until pro-spoiler abruptly had twice as many votes. My personal opinion is that the spoiler looks lousy, ruins the G's lines, and slightly inhibits performance at speeds that are remotely legal. I think it looks okay on a red G, maybe blue, but nothing else. When I look at the back of a black G with a spoiler, for some reason I think "Pontiac." But there are plenty of people who'll disagree with me. You're not going to be the only one either way.

Obviously a matter of opinion but I have a black coupe without the spoiler and I think it looks waaaay better than the ones with it. The car is awesome either way, but to me it's sleeker/sexier without the spoiler. Whatever you decide, enjoy your car. I know I do!!

Heya JDman I totally agree with you. Black coupes require no spoiler. They're classy and sleek and do better without. CB and LR coupes are more sporty and can get away with it.
If I were going to do a spoiler I'd get the one from Impul. It's much smaller and classier in my very subjective opinion.

I was on the fence about this when I bought my coupe and agonized over it for weeks, looking at pics over and over. I couldn't be happier that I decided to get it without the spoiler. Althought I think the spoiler looks okay, the more I look at it it just didn't fit my style.
I say get it without and you can get the exact same thing later if you change your mind (for much less) or you can get the gialla or impul spoiler which I think fits the car much better.

I'm going to have to say the spoiler is a must on the coupe. The coupe to me looks sleek sure but at the same time seems like more people than not prefer the coupe with the spoiler simply because the rear end of the coupe is nothing really to be proud of with the exception of the LED tailights. The G's back end is pretty big, pretty round, and pretty plain. To me the coupe looks incomplete without the spoiler. Maybe if they tapered the rear down a bit and made the trunkline more interesting it could do without the spoiler...

I agree. I Had a black coupe without a spoiler and it looked to plain in the rear. I swapped trunks for one with a spoiler and am much happier. IMHO, the spoiler is what makes the car, kinda brands the car a G35 for its originality.

I have black with spoiler and I love it. Originally I thought the G looked better without it but the spoiler has grown on me to the point that it looks incomplete without it. Plus it really adds a cool sporty edge to black.

No doubt about it. Get the spoiler. Yah, it looks good w/o it. But after you get it, you'll be like, "damn, what was I doing w/o this?"
I had mine installed after delivery. I thought about not getting it, but I'm soooo glad I did. Really finishes off the car.

It's possible that my objectivity went out the window back in May when I realized I'd have to wait until summer was almost over here on the east cost before I could get a 6MT optioned how I wanted it without a spoiler, but I got one with it three weeks later and ended up liking it a lot.
It's a gorgeous design either way, but the spoiler did grow on me as I looked at the cars on the web and at various dealers. I do think it completes and balances the lines, particularly as regards the balance of above/below beltline "weight" visually, which is somewhat more "bottom heavy" without the spoiler.
I was *sure* I wanted it without the spoiler until I found I couldn't get one any time soon, and then found one that was *exactly* what I wanted otherwise (DG/G 6MT/Prem/Nav). I got OK with the spoiler, after much thought, after that...
