Does this sound right?

I am planning on putting my 05G35 6MT away for the winter. One of my friends told me that i should raise the car with jacks so i dont out pressure on the ball berrings all winter long!! Does this sound right? Do i have to do this? Let me know guys THX!

If you start the car once a month, warm it up for 10 min. then take it for a 20-30 mi. drive you will be fine. If you are going to store it for 3-4 months it is a good idea to take the weight off the tires & rims.

Taking the weight off the car is to eliminate the possibility of flat spots on the tires. If you use stands under the frame of the car so that the tires only have the weight of the suspension and tires and not the car itself. this will help reduce fatigue on the suspension and springs.

i agree, if ur not gonna drive it at all for 3-4 months, then it might be a good idea

Do this if you can. If not, jack it to take the weight off the tires and suspension.

i am in same situation.
dont want that snow/salty stuff all over my car and plus...i have my beater sitting outside anyways.
planning to drive twice every month or once every week.
