Well, I put 1500+ miles on my coupe and decided to run through the gears at WOT. I went through 3 gears and shifted right at 6900-7000 rpm but didn't hit the limiter. Where is the rev limiter on this car?

It's at about 6800 but if you wokr it right you can push it to about 7000 before it kicks in (I do this when racing).

 

Interesting... does the VDC system have any effect on when the limiter kicks? I turned it off during my runs... the car pulls hard after 4k.

There was a thread here a few weeks ago addressing this and I will repeat my 2 cents:

i accidentally downshifted from 6th to 2nd the other day (trying for 4th of course) and it sure went up to 8000 without hesitating. Very upsetting but everything seems to be OK.

The limiter will only work in upshift.

It's supposed to be 6750 but I guess our tach does not give a perfect reading.
