Power shifting = fishtailing?
Ok, I rarely drive aggressively. But last night after work about 4 am on an empty road, I decide to let'er rip a lil bit. Turn off the VDC, rollin on 2nd gear rev-up to bout 3k rpm and WAM! into 3rd and I started to fishtail, but got control of her in 2-3 seconds . I was wondering is it because my rear tires are 80% worn? Or power-shifting can make the car spin out?

The G does not have near the power required to make the back fishtail for 2 to 3 seconds unless you put a whole lot of over correction into the car. What might have seemed to be 2-3 seconds was probably more like .25 to .5 seconds.
Worn tires will cause a bit more fishtailing but again if the car was straight when you shifted the amount of fishtailing should be nominal. I have a 05 6mt and even shifting at 6700 rpm into third gear i only get a nominal amount of rear wheel spin and very little if any "fishtailing"
