i also seriously considered the goat, but i really cant get over that "pontiac look" exterior... otherwise super awesome car. surprisingly decent interior quality IMO, (for a pontiac, i mean...)

OK... I will tell you my story before I got the G. I was looking for V8 sport car such as GTO. I went to the dealer to test drive the GTO the car sounds awesome but u have to know thing. It’s not sport car as you think it’s for 40 years old man the car looks nice from inside but here is the bad things.
1- You can’t add more than 19 wheels or width than 9.5 that was my study before I got the G coz I was thinking on getting on see the attachment.
2- The break on GTO looks cool but it was sucks as hell trusts me on this one.
3- The gear is not smooth as the G so you can shift fast. You need at least 1 sec to shift from gear to other maybe it not that much but it’s still slower.
4- The speakers was suck as well you need to replace that keep it on mind,
5- On the corners the car will slip more that the G coz its drift car isn’t. As I know the Z beat the M3 on the traction on TopGear and our G’s is good as the Z’s.

That’s all what I can say for now. But if you want buy another car don’t go down go up. Coz Nissan is better that Pontiac.

U've done some research before you buy your G. I haven't done any research

My next car is going to be The new Convertible RX7 heh

Well If I was to get a GTO I would change out things like the brakes and stereo system, and adding a blower. That modding and thats what I live for.
I wouldn't be fun If I didn't mod.

LOL

Hahahah Thanks JDJ27X,
Just to dream a lil if i was to get a GTO here is the kit's I would choose.

The Silver GTO I would use the front bumper (so I have room for the TT kit)
The orange GTO I would use the wing, sides and rear bumper. Maybe modify the rear bumper for a center out dual muffler. (see last pic)

Dude, get the GTO. It's a good car, especially if you're looking for speed.

The g35 is kinda played out at this point. I saw a GTO fly by me the other day with some kind of exhaust, wow, the ground shook. Talk about a muscle car, that's the definition.

yeah I might show my car for another half a yr, then move on to the GTO. I still have a few (lots) of modd's up my sleeve for the G35.
Wait till you all see the Graphite paint job with a heavy Black pearl.
Should look sick.

ok here's my input.
i've heard amazing things from the GTO from gto owners.. apparently teh car is built well, it is powerful, it will be REALLY fun to build up because you will feel the results and hear the engine roaring more after every mod.

the downs are:
1) gas prices.. the car adds an additional "gas guzzler" tax for a reason. i'd REALLY worry about that after you mod it.
2) weaker suspension than the G, at least from what i felt when i drove it.
3) its money wasted down the drain, you already have a sick car, why change it?
4) its not as comfortable as the G. plus even though there are 10000x more Gs in the city, my car still gets more attention than any gto. people think its a grand prix or somethin
5) i test drove an 05 gto and was disappointed. every time i floored it, it felt as if the frame was going to crack. i also heard grinding metal noises come from the frame which worried me most.
gto owners tell me i must have got a bad gto to test drive and that it must have been a factory accident... dunno the car had no miles on it so it couldnt have been used and abused.

its your money, its your call...

i went to that GM in motion auto show to test drive it. oo man its fast. but it can't handle the track that they setup too well. i can really feel the weight of the car kicking in. but i really like the v8 noise it produces.

I am unimpressed with the GTO. It is far too reminiscent of the quality and handling of the 1960's versions.

If I wanted pure power today, instead of my stylish and crisp handling G35c, I would be looking at the new Shelby or a Saleen Mustang.
