Wheel Damage

4 week old DG 5AT Coupe...50th birthday present for my wife of 30 years (she got me a Road King Classic at 50). Went for 1st oil change at 3800m (great trip to Florida from Houston 2 weeks ago). Anyway, Southwest Infiniti of Houston...(they've been great), but picked up car, went back to work and noticed passenger side front wheel had a grind mark completely around the wheel at leading edge where wheel meets the tire. Both rears had small, 2 inch abrasions at the same leading edge. Thought it might be Southwest Infiniti car wash. Went back and they walked with me to car wash with little evidence that it could have been done there without the service guy being way out of line with the orientation.

Has anyone else had a similiar experience. I can't hang it on them, but I'm not convinced it wasn't done there either.

Would also like to say, I used to work at BMW Mfg'ing in SC and had and/or drove em all over my 7 years there. This G is that and more...pure driving pleasure, when my wife lets me.

Re: Wheel Damage

It's a curb scratch from the sound of it............just send it to a machine shop that repairs damaged wheels. If you don't know where to start, call you local body shop and they could guide you in the right direction.........expect wheel scratch repair to cost approximately $125 a piece.
