debadging - possible confusion for cops?
debadging - possible confusion for cops?
when the cops write tickets, they put your car info on them, where do they get that info from? do they look it up on their computer or do they look at the car and write it down..
well for the debadged G's, have cops made errors on your tickets due to debadging? if a cop makes an error on a ticket, it makes it easier to fight.. so i am considering debadging just for that reason..
thanks for the feedback

When cops write you a ticket they look at your car for info on the make and model. I know this because I have just the g35 shaved off my car, and when cops write me tickets they just put infiniti "4 door" ( I have a sedan).
But it all goes by your plate or vin number. How would it make it easier to fight?

When I got my ticket for speeding a couple of months ago, I had the skyline badges on. (Nissan, 350GT). The cop on the ticket wrote that instead of looking at my registration and insurance card. I wanted to fight it on that and some other certain small technicality but heard that the success rate just on that wasnt that high. I ended up paying the ticket and going to traffic school.

When i went down to my friends beach house this weekend, there was security patroling up and down the gated community he lives in. parking is hard to find, and esp. around 2-3 in the morning i can't see sh*t. well anyways when i head back to my car i find a ticket on top of the windshield. luckly it was a warning, HOWEVER since my car is fully debadged, he pronounced the make of the car : and infiniti ALTIMA. guess people can't distinguish the difference without proper badges . LOL

You guys need to go to www.ticketassassin.com, great site, with their advice I've won two tickets. Instead of challenging the ticket in court, which most people do, you fight the ticket by mail by something call 'trial by written declaration'. If you lose your trial by written declaration, you have the option to fight it even further by requesting something called a 'trial de novo' basically a retrial, and this is where you can show up in court, not necessarily to get off the hook, but to either reduce the fine or request traffic school even if you've already had traffic school in the last 18 months. The site is written for tickets recieved in California.
