Winter Wheel Help

Just picked up an '04 coupe. I live in the NE and snow is right around the corner. I have been told and have read in the forums that winter tires/wheels are a must. Unfortunately, I am a total amateur when it comes to cars. Was hoping some of you could offer me some advice and point me in the right direction regarding type of wheels/tires, sizes, where to buy, and anything else you may think of that I need to know. Any help is much appreciated.

You can get a winter tire wheel package at tire rack for less than $1000 shipped. It includes new wheels and winter tires (I would go with the blizzak tires). They ship them to your door and you just need to bolt them right on. If you know how to change a flat tire you can do this. If you don't know how to change a tire, you should learn and this will give you some practice.

Good Luck

FYI, I ordered my Blizzak WS-50s from tirerack with ASA JS3 wheels in 17", (which will clear the brembos by the way). He said there already isn't much of a choice left in tires, so you better act fast. By the way, without the road hazard protection, my total was $913.00 to my door. Please don't try to go through the winter with the summer tires, I've nearly chit myself, and have swallowed a many pieces of candy that I wasn't done chewing my doin that.

get a set of dunlop m3 or blizzaks in 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 and mount them on your stock rims and when the summer comes buy some 19s with some toyos or falkens. what part of NE are you from?

Even with winter tires I get a ride whenever I can when its snowing. Its snowing outside right now. I have blizzaks and im having a ride come pick me up to go out tonight

Winter

I started looking around early enough, and found a set of OEM 18s with winter tires right here in our classified section for a good price. Good luck.
