Idle RPM
Idle RPM
My idle rpm is usually about 450-500.
But ive noticed a few times now my car idle will drop to 200-250 rpm and this will cause it to sputter a little here and there while idling.
Why would my idle sometimes drop so low?
No mods, manual tranny.

Yeah, what Msedanman said.
Now, to answer your question about changing idle (possibly). Make sure you check after the engine is warmed up completely. Idle is set higher on a cold engine. Finally, turn off that A/C to check. The A/C will usually add something like 200 RPM when it's turned on.

Idle
My RPMs never dropped that low, but I did notice it move up and down slightly from time to time especially since I put in a drop in K&N filter. I mentioned it last week at the dealer when I was dropping the car off for an oil change, and they changed my throttle body. Tell your dealer next time you get your car serviced. I noticed the engine is smoother now, but not sure if it's from the new oil or thottle body, but I like it. I didn't really pay attention to the RPMs yet, but I think it improved.

it has a small divisions every 200 rpms not 500 and each big division is 1k (5 small divisions)
its happens only seldom so no big deal..just curious if anyone else noticed a similiar thing.

+1
i notice the 05's and newer have different tachs, but the 04 tachs don't have markers below 500 RPM

my car idles i guess 600? It's the 3rd line. If 0 counts as 1 and teh very first solid bar counts as 500, then mine idles at the line right above the first line. It sometimes drops down to the first line and sputters like crap. It's kind of annoying when it gets that low, but i cant do anything about it except turn up the AC.
