Angry Attempted burglary/theft of my G35

So I was parked in Secaucus, NJ at the Houlihans/TCBY/Food court area parking lot at 1:30pm today and wasn't even gone for 10 minutes and come back to see my lock completely apart. They must have used a screw driver or a drill or something. They weren't able to break into my car but now I have to go get this fixed somehow.

I hear they try to do this to lower the windows with the door lock function. Is there any way to pull a fuse or disable the windows opening with the remote or through the driver's lock???

Any idea how much it will cost to fix the damage? The lock looks unrepairable.

That just happened last weekend to my father's FX (in Newark). He got two estimates, and they came in at $860 and $920. The theives were able to get his windows down though, and they stole his sunglasses, dry-cleaning, new shoes, and his insurance card.

I thought that was a nice part of town? When I was there it was mostly business people on lunch break.

Wow that sucks!

That's the sad part... it is nice compared to surrounding cities.

Jersey sucks. I park in Brooklyn or Queens and never have issues.

It sucks anywhere in the NY Metro area! I park my car in a parking deck and I live in Jersey City!

In all my years here, that's probably the 4th report of a coupe break-in at that very location.

Man, that stinks!

I assume you filed a police report? I'm not sure about your carrier or state, but for me vandalism does not raise my premium (granted you have to pay the deductable, but sounds like a lot of damage?)

Sorry to hear that bro. Hope the insurance covers that for you. You'd better get the dealer to look at it for an estimate.
