300 hp is hard to keep under 100mph. It just feel like it wants to stretch its legs more. I had a G35 this weekend and it was fast as hell.

Looking back at it he was actually very cool, he even told me to lower my window all the way so he didn't scratch the glass when putting his clipboard into the window for me to sign the ticket...

i had a similar situation last year
it was cold and raining.. and i was a bit heavy on my pedal..
and i blew past a intersection at around 95km/h in a 70 zone
(Hwy 7)
then a cop waiting at the intersection.. flashed his lights
and pulled me over...

he then started to question me why i was going so fast and
reminded me of the cold weather with rain is very deadly..
and asked for my insurance..blah blah ..

At that time, i thought tom myself i was dead (since i had a really
bad ticket b4 that...).. Yet, after he got back to his car with for
a few minutes and then came back and ask where do i study and
live and blah blah.. then i just told him everything "honestly" ..
and that i was sorry for speeding in such bad road conditions

At last, he let me go without a ticket, and this was the time that
i learned to follow the limit.. ( and i really do.. )

sometimes, cops can be good people too.. i guess some of them are
cops because they want to serve the public (not because they want
to eat dounuts.. )

cheers

and drive safe bro

I got pulled over for going 65 in a 35 becasue i blasted off a light to catch up to a nice G i saw up the road. Little did I know there was an unmarked cop behind me and he pulled me over. He just took my license and and started asking me stuff and then told me I should get a ticket for being blind and not seeing him behind me at the light. He told me not to speed and let me off with a warning. Super nice guy if you ask me.

Sounds like getting a drivers license in Germany... then driving on parts of the Autobahn, or something similar where there are no speed limits. I sorta like Germany's laws about having no rust on your car and the whole thing about once you have so many points on your license you lose it for good.

In anycase, its never a good idea to be anything but polite to a cop, no matter how much of a jerk he may be.

You guys in Cali are lucky that you have that Traffic School Option.

They don't have anything like that here in Mass... at least as far as I know.

Yeah... I mean come on, where I live I can go the store, buy a fully automatic assult rifle, with a silencer, and carry it around on my back anywhere I want to (aside from federal buildings, schools, and bars). There should be something like that. I'm all for private roads for cars costing $30k+ too...

Anyway, I pull over, the cop totally sees my radar detector (perfectly legal in AZ, cops usually throw the book at you when they catch you speeding with one though), asks me for my license, registration and proof of insurance, and how fast I thought I was going. I told him that I figured around 75 or so, which still would have been 1mph under criminal. He then told me I was clocked going 86 mph, which would be 31mph over the limit! On top of that I had to inform him that I did in fact have insurance; I just didn’t have any proof on me at the time. So he goes back to his bike, I'm nervous as hell (criminal speed = big insurance premium hikes), he then came back and handed me the ticket, which he then asked me to sign. After looking at the violation box, I noticed that he wrote down "Greater than 65 in a 55" and the "civil" box was checked... Even though I hate cops, I had to thank him. On his way back to his bike he honestly said "nice ride, try to keep it under 100".

I have a clean driving history, but I took the traffic school 6 months ago, meaning I'm going to have to take the hit. I called the court and verified that I can fax in a copy of my insurance card to avoid having to show up there. In about a month I’m going to pay for 6 months of insurance (I'm with Geico and I pay $720something every 6 months for full coverage, 100/300 on everything, and I’m 24. I figure if I take that route the ticket wont affect my rates until I'm 25, and by then they'll drop a lot from the age increase alone...

****ty day, could have been worse...

When I was 24 just a few weeks before turning 25 I was pulled over for doing the same thing, 86 in a 55. The cop wasn't as nice though. He didn't drop it at all. That was my first and only ticket (knock on wood). I hired a lawyer and she went to court for me and got it reduced to 64 in a 55. It didn't affect my insurance at all. In all with lawyer fees, court cost, and fine I paid about $200. My lawyer said she charged me a lower rate since it was my birthday when I first called her.
