anyone knows anything abt the new 2007 g35? i hear that will be a V8.. ?

If they crossed off a V8 for the GTR, there is no way in hell they'll introduce a V8 G35/45

 

if they put a V8 in there then it'll be like the cadillac cts and be in the 50000 + range. there isn't a market out there for that type of vehicle unfortunately especially w/ gas prices

 

Read this and weep! It says 'major redesign' for the 2007 G35 cars. Not small, not minor, not color change, MAJOR REDESIGN! We've all just become obsolete. First thing I did this mourning was contact my dealership. They've assured me a smooth transition/roll-over to the new model when it becomes available, with nothing down and only tax, tag, and title. I would not expect a major increase in power (+10hp), but I do look forward to seeing all the exterior/interior cosmetic changes. And although I love my laser red on my 05, I also hope they continue to offer Sarengehti Sand on the 2007s. Hope we find out in the April Auto Show!


The Next Infiniti G35? New Coupe Concept to Make Debut at Detroit's Auto Show

DETROIT — Infiniti will show off a "major redesign" of the 2007 G35 sedan at the New York auto show and a concept coupe at January's Detroit auto show, Inside Line has learned.

The Japan-designed concept coupe, which company insiders are simply calling the "Infiniti concept," may hint at the 2007 G35 coupe. A source said the coupe concept would not have a V8 engine.

The midsize G35 is considered a brand-defining product for Infiniti, competing as it does against such global stalwarts as the BMW 5 Series.

Infiniti is expected to debut a face-lifted Quest minivan at the Chicago auto show.

What this means to you: Infiniti's G35 lineup gets a major makeover for 2007, and you may be looking at it soon

OMG! WTF! They're updating the G35???? No!!!!!! Leave it the same. No, better yet... regress back to the G20. Yeah, front wheel drive Sentra!

BTW - these models won't hit the streets until a full year from now... Then, the 3 year freshening will only be 2 years out... may as well wait for it. But then the 2012 will be right around the corner, with an auto show concept available that January. And then, there's the hover cars that are coming...

 

Why are some people so worried about the new model? New things are always going to come out. There is no point picketing in front of Best Buy protesting XBox 360 or the latest version of windows.

Besides, I think Infiniti will probably release the 07 redesign sedan 3rd quarter of 2006 and will hold out the G35C for a early 2007 release date.

News from Japan seems to indicate that the next generation G35 might be available with hybrid technology borrowed from Toyota. The VQ37DE motor seems to ready for production at the Nissan engine plant in Japan. Finally they guess the next G35 will look more like a miniature M45. (I thought it already does......)

 

Well that depends. If you looking for speculative information there are tons on the web, but if you are looking for facts then everything seems to be vague. Freshalloys has a similar topic and "Infiniticoncept" claims he saw the concept coupe. Read for yourselves.

I think he is the only one that gives the impression that he saw the actual car. However, his sources could be a photochopped pic.

 

I am still going to get my 06 G35 6MT right now, because I never trust Nissan's release dates. I think somebody said they will probably bring it out in the 3rd qtr. I will be waiting for the GTR.
