Newbie: Need help with North Cal Dealerships

Hi guys

This is my first posting. After looking through 350Z, Cooper, and IS300, I am leaning towards G35C.

I want G35C - 6MT with bare options (if possible) but it seems like all the dealers only carry 5AT! Since I do not have much time, I gotta buy one off the inventory. It seems like they have tons of ATs so I can have many choices..

Anyhow, can any of you who bought one in North Cal recommend the dealer you bought from? I am in North San Jose and there is one in Redwood City and in Fremont. But I dont mind driving a bit for better pricing and service.

Thanks for all the help in advance!

Re: Newbie: Need help with North Cal Dealerships

this has been asked few times already...but here goes again...DO NOT goto redwood city, they add $2000 for the lo-jack system, there arent any in fremont, i brought mine at Marin infiniti in san rafael, its lil out of the way but its worth the drive, they give me 500 off and higest for my trade-in, no B.S. no tricks, i think the service you will get are bout the same, there was a red one in serramonti with 6mt, it has 1000 off sticker on the window when i was there month ago, i would suggest you call them all up and see what they have on the lot or what are coming in, i would perpare to pay MSRP, when i decided i want one and wont mind paying MSRP, i called Marin infiniti and they have two that i was lQQking for, coming that very afternoon!!!...good luck...sw.

Check the internet inventories first to make sure they have one you want in stock. Give Fairfield Infiniti a try.

It may be a drive, but you can't do better with aggresive pricing and outstanding service from Infiniti of Marin. They are rated by Infiniti as being #1 in the Western Region for customer satisfaction. Do a MapQuest search for 610 DuBois Street, San Rafael, CA 94901. Or telephone 415.526.2400. Ask for Emile, he knows the Infiniti line forwards and backwards.

Re: Newbie: Need help with North Cal Dealerships

kpzerone,

i'm from san jose too and bought my coupe back in december at frontier infiniti on stevens creek. i got it for msrp and got wheel locks, sunshade, and all weather mats thrown in for free. i've been back there for service and such and have received very good service. i had accidentally scratched the paint on my fender and brought it to them to check out. they did all they could to touch up the scratch for free and even had me return several times for touch up.

my only complaint (if you can call it this) is that when i purchased the car, they added(or sneaked in) lo-jack and other stuff on the purchase order without me requesting the items. i don't know if dealerships normally just add these things on or perhaps they were being shady by adding stuff on to fluff up the price. either way, i caught it and they took them off.

thangbu,

Who's your service rep over there? I'm thinking of changing mine. For some reason it feels like the level of service had started to decline after I submitted that JD Powers service survey.

Re: Newbie: Need help with North Cal Dealerships

when i came in for the paint scratch, the service rep that helped me wasn't my usual guy. sorry, i can't remember their names and i'm in the process of moving so i threw out all their business cards. however, my usual service guy has short, blond hair and has glasses, but i think his name was jim (not too sure though). when i brought my car in to "jim", everything has been fine with no complaints. the person who helped me with the paint scratch was really nice and helpful. i believe his name was dave but i don't know for sure. sorry i couldn't have been more helpful.

I am in shopping as well in this area.. Do I really need to pay MSRP for Coupes?

I was expecting/hoping 1500 off or more.. It seems like 350Z will be cheaper by 2000-3000 fully loaded..

Hello KPZerone. Serramonte Infiniti ordered my Brilliant Silver 6MT Coupe back in end of April. Delivered on the day they promised. Got my Coupe last week exactly the way I wanted it. I didn't want the Nav system and Premium. Saved myself quite a bit of money by ordering the car to my spec. If you don't mind the wait, this is the way to go. Really didn't mind paying MSRP for the car. The salesman was great. Straight forward sales without any gimmick. If you don't mind taking a drive up to Daly City, check the dealership out. It's on the other side HWY 280 from Serramonte shopping center. Ask for Claudio. Tell him Paul sent you.

gogog35,

the 350z has been out for a bit longer and the uproar has subsided now...especially since everyone was waiting for the roadster model to come out. so, it's not difficult to get a real good deal on the 350z. also, look around, i see 350z's everywhere. for the coupe, i see them out every so often. people are still having to order their coupes and waiting months for them. perhaps, if you were interested in the automatic, you may have a chance at getting under msrp. usually they always have automatics on the lot. 6sp manuals are rare and usually have to be ordered. but, give it try...you never know. go late in the day or on a rainy day when business is slow.

I had the best service with Serramonte Infiniti. I shopped around and they had the lowest price for oil changes and their staff pleasantly surprised me with their professionalism and expertise.

On one specific occassion, I punk'd myself by leaving my apt keys on the keyring when my car was in for service. The service manager John Akers met me afterhours at the dealership with the keys. Serramonte Infiniti rocks.

Hi Guys,

I got call from Serramonte Infiniti the other day and they were willing to cut about 500 off MSRP but they only had basic leather (and only 3 cars in their inventory). I was hoping to get at least 1000 off MSRP but we will see..

It seems like G35S is only 250 or 500 over Invoice but G35C price is still too high!!
