Feedback about DG color
Dealers tell me the most popular color is Diamond Graphite. I've seen all colors on the street except DG. Do you guys agree that's the most popular color? I've always hated grey on cars and this color seems like a kind of grey. But it looks good on this car. What do you think about DG?

Re: Feedback about DG color
What can I say? My G is DG. In December I had to wait 6 weeks for it. It was my color of choice, and I haven't regreted it. I wish it wasn't the most popular though, because I'm starting to see some around, and it makes it less exclusive. But yes, I made the right choice for me. By the way, this is my first silver colored car. It's not grey, but a dark metalic silver. My interior is Graphite. A great match.

Re: Feedback about DG color
DG is the best color for the G in my opinion. Very sleek and elegant. Most of my friends say they love the color and i definitely agree. My dealer told me something similar about the color and it was that it was the most WANTED/DESIRED color. I'll try to post some pics if you want.

i deffently agree and if u look the nismo show car is DG and it is alwayed the color they use when they show the car or somthing at car shows. I think its a simple color and not flashy. Its very low profile. I think black is probaly the most understated color but DG is next and it is easyer to take cae of. I love the color and it not really grey it a dark silver its a great color.

Re: Feedback about DG color
LOL Yeah D/G Is the WORST Color to Get.. J/K After Having my Last Car Silver. And the car Before that Black. When I went to My dealer to Pick up my Car I was Given the Choice of Black or DG. I didn't want to mess with Black anymore. Waxing Every month, Washing every other day......I'm VERY Happy with My Choice. It's more dark than Plain Silver But Yet Not TOO Dark Like some Other GunMetal Grays. It really Catches the Light Nicely, Depending on the Angle it can change Colors........... Go For It!!!!! DG Stays Clean Looking. Hides the Dirt Pretty Well.....

Re: Feedback about DG color
Here's a pix of My DG 6MT. It look good all the time, even if it s bit dirty. The only complaint is the rims blend in to much with the color when the car needs a bath. Thus, if you 19's or 20's with polished lips, that would take away some of the rims blending with the DG coupe paint color. Overall, I am very happy with mine. I have owned lite grey, Black, Red, Gold, white etc. The DG gives the best shine next to Black but will look much better in a few years. By far, the best color so far that I have owned.

Re: Feedback about DG color
Somebody posted a thread showing the actual g35 coupes sold. The top 3 were DG, silver and black. DG looks great, but not the most exclusive color. I like it for the low maintenance factor and in my opinion gives the car an "expensive" look about it.

Black is a pain in the A@@, but looks great when clean. Carribian blue is okay but a bit too 'look at me". Red is always good, but "been there done that". Brilliant Silver is nice , but not enough shine. White is great and looks great on the g with 15% tint all around.
Sandstone is too sedanish. My choice is DG and would have picked the new Blue that is coming out in the 2004's!
Just my opinion.

Re: Feedback about DG color
DG is the most popular color and looks great in my opinion. It kind of spilts the difference between black and silver (the other most popular colors). But contrary to what someone else mentioned, most of the ads I have seen for the car are Brilliant Silver.
I wanted DG, but couldn't find one. The Dealer had a BS in stock, equipped just as I wanted, so I took it rather than waiting to order a DG. My wife who is a decorator, says she likes the BS better than DG and tells me so everytime I second guess myself for not getting DG!
Actually I don't think you can go wrong with any of the colors, so just get what you like.

Re: Feedback about DG color
YAP ....
I was gonna get the DG, I posted on this before, I love how the light transitions color differenciations all over it in direct sunlight.
I initially had it on order and after a month of not 100% sureness, I went and changed my order to black.
Now, that I have black and yes the cleanliness factor is a issue, I would possibly change, I am still fully undecided.
The only thing that sways me one way to the other is
DG
looks great in direct light and shows the cars full shape well.
BUT
in shade or overcast days the cars has a "corolla grey" color, which my X friend used to call it.
It swayed me to get black.
BUT black tends to hide alot of the lines and full shape
but looks a little sleeker.
my choice my not be yours, but either way, the G is a beauty.

Re: Feedback about DG color
Thank you all for the inputs. I've seen the car at the dealer. But it just isn't the same seeing it down the street. I'm yet to see one on the street. BS looks great with indirect light, but not with direct. I love white, but already own a white Sequoia. I'll stick with what I ordered. Thanks again!
