i was bored and went to a BIG parking lot with coupe friend drove celicas
we were doing some lanuchs,and short tracking.
ok here my thingy...
i wet my tires and "brake + gas" about 2-3k and slammed (kept in MM mode first gear bouncing ) and did a sharp turn,and rear slip then i slammed on the brake. my car did a 180 turn and stoped . then the brake got HARD!.i cant even press it down. ALL LIGHTS WENT ON and the car got shut down!. i try tap some gas..nothing happen ... turn off my car and try to start it up again...it wont start. did i **** up my car?..then waited about 2-3mins i turn the key again..it was alive again.but SLIP light keep on until i restart my car 2nd time after about 10mins ..and YES WE PLAY IT SAFE!
can any of u plz give me some adivce wat happen?why did my car got shut down? wat have i done wrong?? thank u so much.

I've never heard anything about our cars just up and shutting off and not cranking up again??

Yeh, take it easy on the ride bro.
I think the car went into 'limp mode' after horsing around. It needed to cool off and then be restarted to be ok.
If there are still some lights on, try an ECU reset.

my car doesnt seem to mind.. cant say the same about the tires tho =\

Just put some sugar in the gas tank and that will keep this from ever happening to you again.

 

they're no fun.. dont mind the other members.. some of them swear they dont speed =\.. you probably did something to confuse the ECU who knows or u stalled it? lol i stalled an SLK once doing a brake + gas burnout so yeah.. nothing to worry about

 

The car has an idiot protection system. When you drive like an idiot, it takes measures to protect itself.

 

wow.. why would you attempt to do something like that in an automatic transmission veichle?.. you don't have as much control as you would with a manual. I don't know how you can stall out also with an automatic.

You probably abused the car way too much... G35 is a sports car but it's also a luxury car atleast to my point of mind.. It has many sensors and you probably messed one of them up.. such as "slip" light while you are doing 180 degree spins. You could've also damaged something mechanical for this to happen.. I would take it to the dealer and have it checked out.. if not an auto shop your familiar with.

I use to do this in my Celica all the time and it was fine.. infact I beat on the car almost everyday and brung it out into open lots every weekend.. ofcourse this is just a celica.. I wouldn't take my G out to do this..

 

I dunno why everybody keeps talking about you being "too hard" on the car..its supposed to be a sporty car, you should be able to throw it around a bit. I've certainly done 10x more harsh driving in my corvette.

Anyway, some cars have a fuel cutoff sensor....they are there to cut the fuel pump incase it thinks your car flipped over or crashed....maybe you somehow set that off and it takes a few minutes to reset?
